Many immigrants think America like a dream place that there have more opportunity and money. New York is very popular for immigrants at that time. The immigrants not just come from Great Britain, but also from other countries like Italian and Russian. The immigrants come to a new place is hard for them, especially the cultural shock. They have to learn a new language. In order to make a living in this strange land they are doing the most on hard work. Sometimes because of racial differences, they have been prejudice against. However they do not want to leave this new land. They hope that through their own hands to bring for their families and themselves a better life. These hard-working immigrants, in the same time satisfy their desire to push the U.S. economy. As we all know labor is an important factor in economic development. So many immigrants came to the United States that brought huge momentum for domestic industry. For a country, industry is the lifeblood. Now, in the U.S. the challenge of immigrants also the language problem, because there have more new immigrants came. Thought the immigrant, we can know how hard them life and how strong their perseverance and determination to pursuit of the perfect life.

"Despite anti-immigration laws that limited the amount of people admitted into the U.S., the idea of America as a "Melting Pot", or more recently a "Salad Bowl", is one of the more unique occurrences in the world to that point in time. America became multinational and had different ethnic groups that generally were successful in assimilated to American culture"
